Jamie is dedicated to teaching the Pilates Method of exercise and offering lessons that help clients deepen their body awareness and Pilates practice. Balance Studio offers private training on the reformer, tower, and mat. At this time we do not offer group classes. To learn more please visit the Pilates instruction page.
Although she is no longer accepting new massage clients, Jamie has also practiced massage therapy since 2001. Her experience as a massage therapist has given her a much deeper understanding of anatomy than your average acupuncturist. She will also add small amounts of body work to acupuncture sessions when necessary to help enhance acupuncture treatments especially those addressing pain management.
About your acupuncturist Jamie Jolley:
Jamie received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and before that her massage therapy training from the Colorado School of Healing Arts. She is a recognized diplomate of acupuncture by the National Commision for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), is certified in Clean Needle Technique, and is licensed in the state of Colorado for both acupuncture and massage therapy. Jamie is also a certified Pilates instructor with years of teaching experience.
Jamie feels privileged to have spent the last two decades successfully treating Denverites struggling with chronic pain or athletes recovering from acute injury through massage therapy. Since expanding her skills to include Chinese medicine and acupuncture she has been able to help more people and is passionate about women’s health issues and pain management.
She discovered Chinese medicine and acupuncture when she was suffering from chronic cystitis in her early twenties. After three years of treatment from her doctor with no relief, she tried acupuncture and was amazed by the results. From that point on, she was hooked and found that it also helped with stress and emotional issues as well. She is excited to be an acupuncturist and share this medicine with her clients in the hopes that they too can find relief.
Typical of most people born and raised in Colorado, Jamie loves the outdoors and being active. When she is not at work, you will find her hiking with her dogs or skiing in the mountains.
